THERMOFAN

It is a household fan which will provide hot and cold air. It will have Thermoelectric Coolers on it which will perform that function.

Long Description

According to the British Journal ‘THE LANCET’, there were 74 million deaths reported between 1985 and 2012 due to hot and cold temperatures. Due to the increasing Global Warming, the magnitude of those temperatures will also increase which will also increase that death toll. Now the rich and upper-class community are equipped with Air Conditioner and heating systems to adopt such a climate change, but the lower class community has no such access to these technologies. This solution will help those communities with a technology which can help them cope with such a harsh climate changes and that too at a cheaper rate. This Project proposes a low energy consuming Fan which will be equipped with Thermoelectric Coolers(TEC). It works on the concept of Peltier effect whereby heat is emitted or absorbed when an electric current passes through a junction between two materials. In simple words, side A of the TEC will be cold and side B will be hot in one current direction while the side A will be hot and side B will be cold in the opposite current direction. Thus, this hot and cold sides of the TEC will warm or cool the air. Moreover, the normal heating and cooling systems contribute to air pollution but this fan is totally pollution free. This fan can serve as a cheaper and eco-friendlier version of the present Heating and Cooling Systems.
