The project aims at minimising deforestation and greenhouse emissions as well as conserve Elephants in queen Elizabeth National Park by rising awareness on the importance of elephant dung.

Kataara Women’s Poverty Alleviation Group is a Community Based Organization registered under Rubirizi Local Government Reg.No.181 with its offices in Kataara II village ½ km from Kichwamba Sub County Headquarters in Bunyaruguru County,Rubirizi District. The group started in May 2005 with only 25 registered members of whom 20 are females and 5 males.
Our Vision: A community with sustainable livelihood.
Our Mission: Building the capacity of community members to alleviate poverty and conserve the environment for sustainable livelihood.
