Zefiro treats the decontamination of the air, along to raise citizen’s awareness, aims to improve air quality and provide clean energy.
Zefiro treats the decontamination of the air through the use of biomass, minimizing the environmental impact caused by harmful attitudes. The titanium dioxide used on the internal structure contribute to decontaminate the air as well, by capturing particulate matter, carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide and other pollutants from the air. Using an heliothermic plant inside it as power supply, a clean and efficient source, Zefiro can generate the energy it needs to its functions and be used to street lighting. Its internal structure is made of clay mixed with titanium dioxide, a non-polluting and non toxic material, that helps filtrating the pollution of the air. The external structure is made of aluminum and provide several spaces for the users to put the biomass (plants) according to their desire and needs (if there is more pollution, more plants will be needed). It makes the users interact with the structure and be interested in contributing to improve air quality and learn about the causes of air pollution. This project aims to improve air quality, educate, provide clean energy and instigate the citizen, by optimizing the natural process of absorption of pollutants by plants and by raising citizen’s awareness.
