Rain(a)Way, using rainwater as inspiration

Rain(a)Way, using rainwater as inspiration

Rain(a)Way is an expert in rainwater design. We create climateproof design to infiltrate water & to enjoy the advantages of rain in the city.

Long Description

Rain(a)Way is thé rainwater expert for a climate proof city. We design and give advice about rainwater integration in public space. Rain(a)Way sees rainwater as a chance and a quality of the city, instead of a problem. We show the natural beauty of water, so the surrounding increases in value. Our main focus is to: 1) Disconnect drainpipes from sewers, 2) Prevent heatstress and 3) Use hemisphere water in an effective way.
Our special Rain(a)Way method ensures rainwater can be infiltrated in the soil through our own-developed tiles. Ebb-tiles directly guide rainwater to a pond, garden or planting. Our Flood-tiles let water flows easily into the ground. Significantly, we bring back the natural water cycle in the city! In Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Tilburg and Bergeijk we already succesfully implemented our Rain(a)Way-design method. We can’t wait to make every city climateproof!

Rain(a)Ways next steps are as follows. The already existing products are only applicable on a small scale. We are busy to design a third sustainable sidewalk tile in collaboration with municipalities, which has to comply with all requirements of sidewalk tiles in public space. In contrary of our current tiles, this tile can be used on a large scale.

As the tile can be applied on a larger scale, we make more impact. This tile will encourage architects more than ever to think about sustainable solutions for rainwater-design. Furthermore, we want to become more international. With the new tile – completely according to our Rain(a)Way-philosophy – we will increase impact in the Netherlands and all other countries in the world.
