SARHA is a startup that aims to promote the renovation of houses to be more efficient in their water and energy consumption
Long Description
SARHA wants to provide a service to urban households in Lima, Perú, to help them decide on how to make their water and energy consumption more efficient, by showing diverse technological products, their cost and the estimated time for return on the investment.
The service starts with a water and energy audit of the house, making a list of high consumption appliances, measurements of energy consumption and water flow, and household members behavior related to their consumption.
Secondly, a budget is drafted showing options with their cost-benefit analysis. Special consideration is given to suggest things that could be easily adopted by the household members.
The client decides whether to install the suggested measures. When installation is done with SARHA, an active after-sales service makes sure everything is running well and feeds back on the users’ perception of the product’s quality, benefits or adverse outcomes if any.
SARHA realizes one of the biggest challenges is the initial investment for installation, which is why we are looking to join a financing company that would provide loans at a low interest. For outreach SARHA is looking to join forces with other organizations working on environmental promotion or house renovation.
Although SARHA is now focused on the residential sector in Lima, it wishes to approach also small businesses (bakeryes, grocery stores, cafeterias, etc.) that are usually located within the family house premises. Another horizon to scale the services provided by SARHA is other cities in Perú that share the similar characteristics.
