A fresh food production floating platform anchored directly in the city waters. It combines Solar energy, Hydroponics and aquaculture, making food production transparent to the people.

WHY- 

We believe in providing humanity with complementary solutions .The purpose of the Smart Floating Farms project is to help reduce communities/growing cities Food risk associated problems , make food production more transparent, using clean energy to produce fresh food closer to home.
SOME OF TODAY’S PROBLEMS:Climate change,2030= Urban areas will grow 185% ,FOOD & WATER  SCARCITY,
Massive food imports / Landgrabbings : use of more fossil fuels =  more CO2 emissions ,Energy consumption,Uncontrolled water consumption, use of food chemicals, pesticides,antibiotics…..Natural disasters ( droughts, floodings, etc)

HOW- 

• We propose a productive FLOATING FARM SYSTEM to bring food closer to growing cities

• A replicable and scalable modular design

• Implementation can be done on a worldwide scale / different locations

THE PROJECT COMBINE DIFFERENT MARKET AVAILABLE TECHNOLOGIES INTO A
SIMBIOTIC SINGLE PRODUCTIVE PLATFORM:
A-   SOLAR ENERGY PLANT (rooftop)
B-   HYDROPONICS – CROP PRODUCTION  (middle level)

C-    AQUACULTURE – FISH AND OTHER SPECIES  (lower level)

WHAT- 

The result is a replicable and modular Productive floating platform which can supply fresh crops & fish directly to the city, via different channels(people buying, markets, restaurants, supermarkets, hotels, bio-stores, etc) We aim to start implementing the first modules soon.
